Clockwork Prince

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2) by Cassandra Clare

I can only say Oh My God to this book.
Cassie, you have just successed in surprising me and amazed me, made me cry and laughed and sad and happy at the same time with this book!

I really liked this book, and the turn and twists within that had me through out the whole tale, never wanting to put it down. I love the unexpectedness of the story (though not all are pleasant :P), but I love Cassandra's writing style and imagination.

I really can't wait to read the next book Clockwork Princess, to see how this story is going to all end. I have to say, the ending of Clockwork Prince did not agrees with me, haha~ But that's just my opinion. Some parts are just so sad to think about, and I don't like it when one or more characters are hurt or saddened. The end was so unexpected that I can't help wondering what happened? And what will happen next?? But I still really liked this book and would love to re-read it again.

So, I would recommend it to all of you who have read Clockwork Angel, and if you have not, then you should! Thanks Cassie, for a great book that I really enjoyed. Maybe make it less sad next time, since it's the end of the trilogy? :P Can't wait!!

Summary from Goodreads:

In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has at last found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when rogue forces in the Clave plot to see her protector, Charlotte, replaced as head of the Institute. If Charlotte loses her position, Tessa will be out on the street and easy prey for the mysterious Magister, who wants to use Tessa's powers for his own dark ends.
With the help of the handsome, self-destructive Will and the fiercely devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister's war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal. He blames them for a long-ago tragedy that shattered his life. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors, from the slums of London to an enchanted ballroom where Tessa discovers that the truth of her parentage is more sinister than she had imagined. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister himself knows their every move and that one of their own has betrayed them.
Tessa finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will; the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers about who she is and what she was born to do?
As their dangerous search for the Magister and the truth leads the friends into peril, Tessa learns that when love and lies are mixed, they can corrupt even the purest heart.

  2. ): I feel like the odd man out I guess because I have been disappointed with this series so far. I feel like it has really gone no where... nothing is really happening... and this love triangle!!! FRUSTRATING lol... I like TMI way better than this one... I am a big crusher for Will though.. fingers crossed for him... I am currently reading Clockwork Princess right now... so hopefully the ending blows me away
